Gerald J. Fitzgerald Jr., DO, who also goes by Doc Fitz to his patients and friends, has been practicing Family Practice medicine in Largo/Belleair for more than 24 years and is triple board certified. Doc Fitz graduated from Michigan University with a B.S. in medical technology. Post graduation he became the laboratory supervisor for the National Legal Laboratories, and ran the DNA laboratory division. He proudly served with Dr. Henry Gershowitz from the University of Michigan, a pioneer in human genetics. His passion in medicine compelled him to further his education, graduating with a DO from the College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In addition to his Family Practice office he is also the director of Oak Manor Nursing Home and Wright’s Nursing Home. Doc Fitz is passionate about preventing and treating colorectal cancer. He is the US patent holder for a ground breaking invention that will greatly impact the diagnosis of colon cancer. He spent seven years as the physician of the PGA tour. He is the official local physician for Warner Bros. films including Dolphin Tale, Magic Mike, and Spring Breakers. He volunteers with the Special Olympics and works with multiple charities including Julie Weintraub’s Hands Across The Bay, The Haven of RCS, Wheelchairs 4 Kids and more.
ZAIDA PARRA, APRN, FNP-C

Zaida holds a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Chamberlain University and is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is certified in neuromodulators and dermal fillers through the American Academy of Facial Esthetics.
She was born in Fairfax, Virginia and moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida in 2017, where she concentrated her focus on skin health and prevention. Zaida has always had a passion for aesthetics and is dedicated to helping clients achieve their aesthetic goals while enhancing their natural beauty. She is passionate about individualizing treatment plans to balance out facial features and stays up to date on current practices. Additionally, Zaida is skilled at laser treatments including Intense Pulsed Light, Laser Hair Removal and Morpheus8 Microneedling + RF.
Zaida has more than seven years of medical experience providing care to patients in newborn nursery, NICU, postpartum, post-op and IV infusion therapy. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her dog whom she rescued, and enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and dancing. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
